A Soft April at Lambert Cottage
A soft April, pressed simple.
Lately I’ve been craving slower days… open windows, small stitches, warm bread, and quiet corners that don’t ask anything of me.
So I made a gentle list—not to rush through, but to return to.
Maybe you need one too ๐ค
- morning coffee by the window with soft light
- open the windows and let fresh air move through
- stitch something small from the thread basket ๐งต
- press flowers between journal pages
- take a slow walk and notice what’s blooming
- bake something simple (bread, muffins, or a small cake)
- refresh one cozy corner of your home
- sit and journal without rushing
- light a candle in the evening just because
- wash linens and hang or fold them with care
- gather a small bouquet (real or simple stems)
- mend or stitch something worn and loved
- rewatch a comfort movie (Anne of Green Gables energy ๐ค)
- create a soft spring playlist
- write a “Thimble Letter” to your future self
- tidy one drawer or basket—just one
- spend time with family in a simple way (coffee, talk, laughter)
- take a photo of something ordinary that feels beautiful
- read a few pages of a cozy book before bed
- sit in stillness for a few quiet minutes
There’s no rush here. Just small, gentle moments… one soft day at a time.
If you’ve enjoyed your time here at Lambert Cottage, and something in this post made you feel a little more cozy, a little more inspired, or a little more seen… you can leave a little something in the basket ๐ค๐งบ
